IN-SPIRE
IN COMMUNITY
-People flourish when they have a sense of belonging.
We believe in the power of love, acceptance and forgiveness. Relationships of mutual and voluntary submission between believers forge accountability, foster care, and fulfil our sense of belonging together as the family of God.
Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 4:2-3
SERVICE
-Serving others demonstrates our commitment to and love for God and his church.
We believe that as people choose to serve, the impact of that service will change lives—for those serving, for the people they serve, and even for those who see them giving their time to help someone else. We also believe that we are more effective when we work together to exercise our gifts in coordinated, strategic unity.
Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Peter 4:10-11
PEOPLE
-People matter to God and therefore matter to us.
We believe that people are the object of God’s love; therefore we will show we love all people both inside and outside the church
John 3:16, 1 John 4:7-11, 2 Corinthians 5:14-20
INNOVATION
-We are prepared to be innovative in our approach to ministry so we can reach our community.
We believe our role is to create environments that are conducive to the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of people. Biblical truth is timeless but methods, style and program must move with the times so we will encourage innovation in how we do things.
Colossians 4:5-6, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
REVELATION
-God has given us a revelation of himself through Scripture and in the person of his Son.
We believe that God has spoken to humanity through the Scriptures, revealing Jesus (The Word made flesh). Therefore the Bible is our final authority in all areas of faith and practice.
Colossians 1:15, John 1:1-2, 14, Hebrews 1:1-2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17
ENCOUNTER
-Spiritual growth occurs when we have transcendent encounters with the living God.
We believe that God desires an intimate relationship with every believer through the person of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual disciplines help us achieve intimacy with him evidenced by the fruitfulness of our lives and our willingness to worship him.
Mark9:1-7, John 14: 15-16, 26, John 15:1-17, Revelation 7:9-12
