Nigel Scott
Nigel and Wendy have been at WBC since February 2003. Nigel’s primary role is to provide leadership and teaching to the WBC community. His passion is to see the church operating as God intended so that it positively impacts the local community and beyond, acting as both a beacon of light and a well of living water. “God has the power to change anybody,” he says, “and the church should be the place where they encounter Him in life changing ways.”
Nigel and Wendy have 5 adult children and a grandson. In his spare time Nigel enjoys a walk or a jog around the Waikanae River track. He is also chaplain to the local police.
Matt Swank
Matt and Angela have been at WBC since October 2014. Matt’s primary roles are youth, discipleship and worship. His passion is to see people, youth in particular, learn to walk as Jesus walked.
Matt and Angela have one son named Reuben and a 55kg puppy named Rapha. In his spare time Matt enjoys tramping and building stuff.
Daniel Scott
Daniel grew up at WBC, and in 2017 he joined the staff team as Matt’s Youth Assistant. Before starting his role, Daniel was heavily involved in the life of the Church, focusing on worship and youth discipleship. Through the development of these skills over his 14-years at WBC, God has kindled a passion for youth ministry (growing disciples that make disciples).
Daniel is also an English and Political Science Major at Victoria University of Wellington, and he hopes to eventually become a high school English teacher.
Lisa Kelly
Lisa has been working as the office administrator since the end of 2015. Prior to this she was a stay at home Mum for her two children, Sam and Mia. Before kids I worked in banking. I am really enjoying working at the church, it is a friendly, positive and loving environment. What I enjoy most is getting to know people who call into the office, to get along side people and to be ‘real’ with them.
